Fracture

Fracture is a digital sculpture that embodies the evolution of a tiny leaf into a captivating digital landscape. A leaf was 3D scanned using macro lenses, capturing even the smallest of details. Using state-of-the-art software, the artist used digital sculpting techniques to further develop the model. Its geometry is seemingly fractured, yet it is united. It forms a mirror to us all, a reflection of where we are and perhaps a portal to the future. The leaf that was once 3D scanned to make this artwork now no longer exists, yet we may think of this artwork as its natural evolution, a transformation from the physical world to the digital. Fundamentally, a mirror is whatever you put in front of it. So please tell me, what is that you see?
